In this painting I have no story to tell, rather I have a reality to say about it, it is a reality of my own life, so much so that if I look at it, it is as if I am looking at myself.
I have a very real connection with him, I visualise myself through him, in such a way that I believe that at the moment I did it I was able to know part of my life.
I call him the elephant of peace because you have the image of the elephant where he opens his mouth, and he’s on the verge of eating whatever he wants, but he doesn’t eat it… he leaves it, so as not to cause sadness around him. It prefers to stretch further, to make more effort, to walk further ahead to drink the clean and pure water.
It is mysterious. Yes, a very mysterious elephant.
